International Asheville Food Tour, a culinary trip around the globe lead by local bilingual blogger and foodie: Luis Carlos Serapio, from Descubre Asheville.

I love food, and I find it to be the best way to meet people and to make new friends. Where I come from, we always offer you food. I’m originally from Veracruz, México where my mother and grand mother made tortillas from fresh grind corn.

As a result, my desire to meet new cultures has taken me trough: Central America, India, México, Europe and South East Asia. No matter where I’m, food is always a bonding element.  Asheville has some of the best restaurants in the country.

You are about to find out why Asheville is a culinary destination!

International Food Tour is for those looking for adventure: Indian, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Ethiopian cuisine, Artisan Liquors, Artisan Chocolate and more await for you.

Yes, you are about to try some of the best Asheville has to offer. Our culinary scene is rich in flavor and spice. At our participant restaurants we will try their food and learn about our dish.

On our walk around town I will give you tips on local attractions. I’m going to show you places with best views. I’ll show you My favorite local beer, my favorite pizza joint, tips on great artists galleries, where to catch a good music show, near by hikes, swimming holes, where to get a killer breakfast for less than $6 and more!

Things you should know about your host Luis:
  • Wildest meal: Cobra in Java (Indonesia)
  • Craziest story: Bitten by African Lion at 19
  • Why I love Asheville? Because it’s one of the most beautiful places I have seen in the world, the seasons, the city, the mountains, the FOOD!
